What You Need

Before you start streaming from your glasses, make sure you have these three components ready:

👓

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses

Any model with live streaming support — Ray-Ban Stories 2nd gen or Meta Ray-Ban with the capture button and live broadcast feature enabled.

📱

Meta View App

The Meta View app installed on your phone (iOS or Android). This is required to configure the RTMP destination and control your glasses remotely.

StreamStage Access

An active It's Buzzing account with StreamStage access. Log in at itsbuzzing.com to enable your streaming credentials.

Getting Your Stream Credentials

Your RTMP credentials are unique per session. Generate them on the dedicated setup page, then send them to your phone or scan the QR code.

1
Log in at It's Buzzing Visit itsbuzzing.com/login and enter your account credentials.
2
Go to Glasses Setup Navigate to itsbuzzing.com/live/glasses-setup
3
View Your RTMP Credentials Your RTMP URL and stream key are displayed prominently on the page.
4
Send to Phone (Optional) Click "Send to Phone" to receive your credentials via SMS for easy access on your mobile device.
5
Scan QR Code (Alternative) Or scan the QR code displayed on the page with your phone to copy credentials instantly to your device.
6
Generate New Key (If Needed) If you need to reset your credentials, click "Generate New Key" to create a fresh stream key for the next session.

Your RTMP Credentials

Here are the credentials you'll use to configure your glasses:

RTMP URL: rtmp://live.itsbuzzing.com/live Stream Key: [generated per session — find at itsbuzzing.com/live/glasses-setup]

Security Note: Your stream key changes each session for security. Never share your stream key publicly. If you suspect it's been compromised, generate a new key immediately.

Connecting via Meta View App

Once you have your RTMP credentials, configure your Ray-Ban glasses in the Meta View app:

1
Open Meta View App Launch the Meta View app on your phone (iOS or Android).
2
Select Your Glasses Tap your Ray-Ban glasses name in the device list to connect to them.
3
Tap Live In the app menu, tap the "Live" option or broadcast icon.
4
Select Stream Settings Tap "Stream Settings" or the gear/options icon to configure your broadcast destination.
5
Choose Custom RTMP Select "Custom RTMP" (not Facebook or Instagram presets). Platform presets use different authentication and won't work.
6
Enter RTMP URL Paste: rtmp://live.itsbuzzing.com/live
7
Enter Stream Key Paste your stream key from itsbuzzing.com/live/glasses-setup
8
Save & Go Live Tap Save to confirm settings, then press the capture button on your glasses to start streaming.

Tip: The capture button is typically located on the front-right arm of your Ray-Ban glasses. Press and hold briefly to start recording/streaming.

Signal Status Indicators

On the glasses-setup page, you'll see a real-time signal indicator that tells you the status of your stream connection:

Connected
Glasses are streaming and signal is strong — ready to broadcast.
Weak Signal
Streaming but connection is unstable. Move closer to WiFi or check your 5G signal strength.
Disconnected
No signal detected. Check that glasses are paired in Meta View app and your stream key is correct.

How it works: The signal check polls every 5 seconds. Wait about 10 seconds after starting your stream for the status to register on the dashboard.

Troubleshooting

Stream key not working

Stream keys expire after 24 hours of inactivity. Generate a new key at itsbuzzing.com/live/glasses-setup and re-enter it in the Meta View app. If the issue persists, check that you're using "Custom RTMP" and not a platform preset.

Glasses won't connect

Make sure you're using "Custom RTMP" in the Meta View app, not a platform preset (Instagram, Facebook). Platform presets use different authentication and won't work with our RTMP server. Also verify that the RTMP URL is exactly rtmp://live.itsbuzzing.com/live with no extra spaces or typos.

Video is choppy or freezing

Your glasses stream through your phone's data connection. You need at least 5 Mbps upload speed. Check your phone's connection strength (WiFi or 5G). If you're on 4G LTE, try moving closer to a cell tower. For best results, use a stable WiFi network with a strong signal.

SMS not arriving

If "Send to Phone" doesn't deliver the SMS, use the QR code alternative on the setup page — scan it with your phone to copy credentials instantly. If you still have trouble, copy the credentials manually from the page.

No signal on dashboard

The signal indicator on itsbuzzing.com/live/glasses-setup polls every 5 seconds. Wait 10 seconds after starting your stream for it to register. If the status still shows red, check that your stream key is correct and your glasses are actively streaming (not paused).

Still stuck? Contact support at itsbuzzing.com/contact or email [email protected] with your account email and stream key (without the key itself — just tell us the date/time you generated it).

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Ray-Ban glasses models are supported? +

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses (2023+) with the capture button and Meta View app support custom RTMP streaming. The original Ray-Ban Stories (2021) are not compatible with custom RTMP. Check your glasses model in the Meta View app settings to confirm compatibility.

Can I stream directly without the Meta View app? +

No, the Meta View app is required to configure the RTMP destination. It's a one-time setup per stream key. Once configured, you use the capture button on the glasses to start and stop streaming — the app stays in the background.

Does the stream key stay the same between sessions? +

No. A new stream key is generated each session. For security, visit itsbuzzing.com/live/glasses-setup before each stream to get your fresh key. Old keys are automatically invalidated after 24 hours of inactivity.

Can I monitor my stream while wearing the glasses? +

Yes! Open itsbuzzing.com/live/glasses-setup on a second device (laptop, tablet, or another phone) to see the live signal status, viewer count, and stream health metrics in real-time while you're broadcasting.
